EPE Recycling

The packaging used to ship our small Self-watering Planters is made from Expanded Polyethylene, most commonly known as EPE foam. Like many types of plastic, polystyrene can take up to 500 years to decompose if put in a landfill. The good news is that it is almost 100% recyclable. The bad news is that it is not commonly recycled in normal curbside pickups. 

Our impact on the planet is important to us, and in addition to wanting to ensure our products don’t harm the planet, we also want to help educate our community on how we can all recycle EPE foam to help reduce plastic waste. To encourage our customers to recycle the EPE used in shipping our planters, we will provide a discounted shipping label and pay 50% of the cost to ship your EPE foam to the closest EPE recycling facility. All you need to do is fill out the form below and we’ll contact you for billing information so that we can generate a 50%-off mailing label. 

Pack up your foam, ship it out with the provided label, and know that you’ve done a good deed keeping plastic out of landfills!
