Dracaena Compacta is a structural, vertical pointing tree that exhibits a distinctive striped trunk topped with foliage. It's a great choice for people looking for a unique statement plant, and will keep its relative shape much longer than most plants.
Slow growing and able to go longer periods between waterings, it's still one of the more difficult dracaenas to maintain. They require higher light than most dracaenas, and will acquire large yellow and brown spots on their leaves if lighting is inadequate. If placed far back from a window, it's important to rotate the Dracaena Compacta regularly to ensure the far side of the plant will receive light.
Medium Light. This plant will do best in a bright location with mostly indirect light.

Native to southeast Africa, the Dracaena Compacta appreciates a warm and humid environment with a moderate amount of water and light. This plant has a unique structural element that offers a clean and elegant look.

LIGHT REQUIREMENTS
Prefers bright indirect light, but can tolerate medium light conditions.
WATER REQUIREMENTS
Be sure to water your plant upon delivery. Dracaena like moderately dry soil and will rot when too much moisture is present. If soil is dry 1-2" down the pot, then the plant is ready for a drink. Avoid allowing the soil to dry completely. Be sure to water slowly near the base of the plant as Dracaena Compacta have shallow roots.
HUMIDITY PREFERENCE
Medium humidity. Dracaena appreciate an occasional leaf dusting and misting. Place your plant away from hot or cold air drafts.
ADDITIONAL INFO
Dracaena are sensitive to fluoride and other minerals commonly found in tap water. Over time this sensitivity can cause some discoloration of the leaves. Read our detailed plant care guide for more information.

We are on occasion able to accommodate deliveries outside of our zone for an additional cost. Please email or call us to inquire.
In case of inclement weather, we will automatically reschedule deliveries for the next day we deem safe for the health of the plant, and will send out a notification email with the updated schedule.
Someone must be available to receive the delivery. If no one will be there to receive the delivery, you may give us permission to leave the plant outside the delivery address in the checkout notes. However we cannot acquiesce this request during the winter or in severe weather. If no one is there to receive the delivery and we are unable to leave it behind, a re-delivery fee will be incurred. Cancelled orders will incur a 25% restocking fee once they have been prepared for delivery.

At Greenery Unlimited, we stand behind the quality of our products and want every purchase to be a positive experience. We hope you love your new plants and accessories, but should you have any issues with your purchase please contact us.
Non-Plant Item Return Policy
Returns and exchanges of non-plant items ordered through our online store are accepted within 30 days of customer receipt, with a valid proof of purchase is provided, and the items are returned in good condition (unused, un-scuffed and unwashed). Expendable materials such as potting soils, drainage, plant sprays, fertilizers etc. may be returned in unopened packaging only. Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
Floor Plant Return Policy
All floor plants (10" nursery pots and above) are final sale only. We only send out plants that are representative of the photography on the site, and are confident you will be satisfied with your purchase. However, if your plant arrives damaged contact us within 24 hours to initiate a replacement or refund. If you are dissatisfied for any other reason such as plant size or shape, you are eligible for a swap of the same item within the 24 hour window.
Small Plant Return Policy
All of our small plants (8" nursery pots and below) are covered under our 30 Day Plant Guarantee. If the plant’s health declines beyond repair within 30 days, we will provide a replacement. Please reach out for care assistance at the first sign of plant health decline. If your order is damaged or fails to meet your expectations, please contact us through this form and we will gladly assist you. Please include your order number when contacting us.
